Anzac slice

Yep that's right! We love Anzacs.

Todays tasty treat comes to you in the shape of a muesli bar covered with choc.

So the recipe we use is:

1 Cup rolled oats
1 Cup plain flour
1 Cup coconut
3/4 Cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons of Marg
2 Tablespoons of Golden Syrup
2 Tablespoons of hot water
2 teaspoons of bi-carb

and it goes a little something like this...

Mix rolled oats, flour, sugar and coconut in a bowl.
Melt the margarine and golden syrup.
Mix together the hot water and the bi-carb together and then add it to the margarine mix.
Pour the margarine/bicarb mix over the dry ingredients and mix well.
Press into a slice tray (about 1cm thick) and bake until golden brown (about 20 minutes).
Remove from the oven and slice while hot.
Melt about 8 squares of chocolate (dairy free in our house) and spread onto each slice.
Eat and enjoy.

Mmmm. Now I couldn't possibly tell you how long these would last for. We get about 16 muesli bars and they only last about 3 days before they are eaten.

What's in your lunch sack today?

They sound wonderful. Little brother obviously likes them.
